We are advocates of every borrower's financial success.
We are a passionate group who strive to simplify student loans. We came together at the University of Michigan from different backgrounds and disciplines to empower students and graduates to take control of their student loans. We dream of a world where education increases a graduate's economic mobility and sets them up for lifelong success.
Meet the team behind Dough.
Catalina is the ultimate voice and advocate to set borrowers up for financial success. She wants to support and empower graduates to own their financial future. When she's not working on Dough, she's walking her adopted Guatemalan street doggy named Poochica.
Head of Design
Huyen leads the design team to best focus its time and talent on developing Dough as a relevant and scalable solution to the problem of student loan defaults. When she's not designing for Dough, she's working out at tabata classes and making taro milk tea.
Ivan is an experienced full-stack software engineer who enjoys solving complex problems with clean, efficient code. He is passionate about good software architecture and design. If you're a John Coltrane or Miles Davis fan, you and he will probably make great friends.
User Experience Researcher
Lauren is a UX researcher at the University of Michigan, studying Human Computer Interaction. She's the first phone call her friends make when they want investment advice. Before pursuing a career in UX, she was a professional musician; she performed classical music and taught in schools.
Hailing from the far away city of Toronto, Victor enjoys snowboarding and playing soccer when he isn’t creating overly complex financial models or enjoying the relative warmth of San Francisco. Victor brings a wealth of forecasting, strategic planning, and Netflix binge watching skills to Dough.
